pitter patter.

It is raining in my room, and I’ve lent the neighbor the mop.

All I’ve got is a broom to push stinking water, the color of bile, from one corner to the other.

A big blue bucket sits where I lay my head.

Pitter patter like a metronome.

Pitiful, damp, cold.

I’ll sleep on the couch tonight.
